An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he had not been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, we are not coming out until you leave! The old man frowned, I did not come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked. Holding the bucket up he said, I am here to feed the alligator... Some old guys can still think fast. tongue tongue

Thank you for encouragement. I also thought I should be able to do it, but until you indicated not to move 4 and 5D too soon I was stuck. Thank you for helping. Re joke above : This si a good match to the one I wrote about the old man who crawls over to his wife only to be told that his memory must be getting weaker as he was there an hour ago!

Yes, I remember, these are classic ! tongue It just cements the fact that I did not withhold clues like others, I enjoyed being able to help for once. If more were to follow, then there would be a whole lot more of us with stars.

OK,@zaphod, what is the key to the game today? I noted that you are at 136 moves! smile

by zaphod » 2013-06-13 09:54:00 #8131

Sorry I don't remember. I had to rush off to an emergency and quiclly played one and I was down to 136. I came back in the PM and now can't replicate it.

by harleyman » 2013-06-13 10:29:13 #8132

Well, we are both at 134 and even with all the clues, I still cannot figure it out. Emergency, OMG is everything alright?

by zaphod » 2013-06-13 10:46:49 #8133

Did not bring down 5S except after the flip and that gave me 128. You can do it also as otherwise we play similarly. Make also sure that at the flip you are at 73. This is done by putting 6H on 7S. Up 7C, and then move 7S on the free 8

by harleyman » 2013-06-13 11:05:07 #8134

I am just not seeing the critical move, stuck at 133. sad I am at 73 moves at the flip too

by zaphod » 2013-06-13 11:11:29 #8135

If you are at 73, flip and bring down the cards slowly. You have to wait until you can bring down 4S. Otherwise only bring down KS 4 and 5S and QD. The rest of the cards will eventually go on the A piles. Just be patient. If you are at 73 you cant go wrong

by zaphod » 2013-06-13 11:28:10 #8136

My apologies. Of course 7H also comes down

by zaphod » 2013-06-13 11:28:11 #8137

My apologies. Of course 7H also comes down

by harleyman » 2013-06-13 11:52:17 #8138

Yes, yes, and yes to all that, but, I still say there are too many flips after the KS with red Queen and JS, which puts me at 132 moves.
