I agree with @cunningstunt, not one black 7 to ease this along!

There should be a rating button that says SUCK. Easy Medium Hard and SUCK

Now that I had time to reflect on these two games, Mary... I'd second your comment on the degree of difficulty and speed. It was an unlucky day for those folks who had to work on two hard games in one day just to shore up your scores. It does not make much sense, does it ?

Thanks Hamlette and Susan for the clues. (Hope I didn't miss anyone.) Susan, your clues about the number of moves at the flips are very helpful.

Oh, man, I just got back home and you guys had ALL the fun!! As far as which game is more difficult, I would say the first one was but then, I got 150 on both of them and my eyes are crossing trying to find the last two moves. The 2nd way played faster for me also!! Hey, and no one applied for my job opening so I guess the house will stay dirty unless tomorrow is an easy game!!

Just trying to understand it I guess. thats all.

CtownChris, I think that's why joekayak said one day that, if you're really interested in good scores and rankings, then you're either "all-in or all-out" ! Otherwise, if you don't have the time to dedicate to it for whatever reason, then play for fun and don't worry about your ranking.

When I wrote to Qhermit, it was simply to ask him what the meaning of "postoraytes" is. In his reply, HE asked me whether or not we wanted the game changed so I needed to respond but I wanted input from others first -- to know that the second game was doable and also that it had a low score the same as the first game and not in the 150's (which is another reason why I needed to make sure that we wanted to keep the game). Luckily, the low score for both games was 148.

CtownChris, I think the ranking system is quite complicated. You can read more about it on the Forum: Page 1, "Rankings" and Page 3, "New Ranking System + Awards". There are several games in the last 30 days that you haven't played. That brings your score down quite a bit.
