rhinemaiden...I totally understand. I type faster than most keyboards can keep up. As a result I often have many typos and when I try to use any type of emoticon, I invariably get the wrong one.

Thanks to all who responded to me... Anyone who has ever had a pet or has one now knows  how we feel.

So sorry for your loss TKO. Had to put my mini dachshund down in September-cancer.  He too was rescued at 1. He was a much loved family member, and the hardest thing I have ever done, but like you it was an act of compassion. Irreplaceable!

TKO, so sorry for your loss.  Keep the wonderful memories.  I am still trying to replace Frosty, our little American Eskimo.  One day I will get another one.

Over the last several days, I have not been able to complete a game. After approximately 10 moves, the cards in the deck will stick and cannot be advanced. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Toni -- So very sorry for your loss.  A few years ago I lost my beagle of 19 years.

Her death was due to medical error -- she had minor surgery & the medicine given 

for aftercare caused her to starve to death.  No medical malpractice for dogs I discovered.  

So very sorry Toni for your loss. You were lucky to have each other. Don't worry rheinmaiden.  That's a text mistake that happens to all of us when we capitalize. You said the right kind things. That's what mattered.

TKOo sorry to hear the sad news about Smokey.It's heartbreaking to lose a much loved friend.We faced the same sadness last year when we had to have our beloved cat,Jessie, put to sleep a week after her 20th. birthday. She had cancer and although we were reluctant to say a final "goodbye", she had reached the point where she was just "existing" not living. Our Vet was kind enough to come to our house so that we could say our final farewells to Jessie in the comfort of the home she loved.Take comfort at the thought you gave Smokey a wonderfully loving,secure, home for nearly 20 years.I'm sure he lived the kind of life every pet would desire - and you made that a reality.
