joe, yesterdays game the 5 plays straight up seems to be what you might be missing.
and don't look now but all the stars are still intact. I think I'll leave it that way for the night (like I have a choice.)

I can't believe I finally finished it...I don't think I'll try for speed today. lol

And some of us aren't sure how we worked our way up, but we did it!! LOL

Hi dogsitter..sorry, I wasn't here. Mom got it right !! I think we get the permanent star if we finished the day in first place. I used to think if you finished it first, you got the star, but I don't think so now. We also used to get a star if we gave the best clues and had the most Helpfuls next to our name..but that doesn't exist any more with the new servers. I am sure you will get there We all started at the bottom and worked our way up a certain way.
I never get on the board for lowest time either Mom..unless I play first lol I was a Brownie and then a Ranger but never a Scout or a Girl Guide. I was a Pixie..does anyone else remember what they were??

That's Girl Scouts, dogsitter, and you get a star by getting the lowest number of moves in a game, or by getting the lowest time in a game. But then, if someone beats you, it disappears. I used to think it was impossible too, but the more you practice, the easier it gets. I can get lowest moves about a fourth of the time now, but I never got, (and never will), lowest time. I never even make the top 8 leader board. But it's fun trying!!!
