Stinky

I didn't know about the apps.  I've been in the top 10 a few times, and I was the one playing.

FOr myself, no.  I try to beat my own score.  And sometimes to see how many ways a game can be solved. That's kind of interesting to me.  Until someone pointed it out, I didn't know there were apps to cheat at solitaire.  There are SO many apps to cheat at online games.  LOL  So awesome isn't it?  I finally logged in and created an account at the old solitaire site and played a couple of games and laughed to see some of the old timers there playing.  But today, the site can't be found by using google browser.  Weird.

So, if the scoring has some randomness in it (sometimes you do great, sometimes not), I keep trying harder and harder?

The Most Powerful Motivator on the Planet: Intermittent Reinforcement

I enjoy getting a game moves to be lower.  I do not enjoy competition for the sake of same.  I think that the scoring kind of stinks, and I find it frustrating to know that people who use apps to solve a puzzle actually tally on the top ten moves and times.  It's fine to play and cheat with yourself.  Stop doing it with others.  We are not fooled and have chosen to not play the way *you* do.

I've found that in my case, generally, the more cards that turn over automatically at the end of the game, the lower my moves.   I originally thought that the problem was in my computer, but if others have the same problem, then the problem must come from the site.  I guess it really doesn't amount to a hill of beans.   But when you have competitive people playing the game, it causes major frustration.

Hi everyone. It seems like that’s how it is, Rich.

This new Solitaire game is somehow rigged by its counting format...In theory, the lowest moves you can get is 97 moves (24x2+28+21=97). i.e. every card is lined up perfectly so you can just dump cards into the foundation piles with no need to do any thing.  You may be able to save 20 moves if you arrange the cards in the pile to the number 8 for all four suits, by default of the counting algorithm. Therefore, the lowest you can get on this game is 77 moves, and somehow the final count is one less, that is 76 for reason nobody understands.  If you want to challenge yourself to get the TRUE lowest game score, try playing old.solitairecraving.com where every move is counted, no less, no more.

Ooops, sorry about that.

No need to be a math wiz. Simple arithmetic. There are 52 cards. Just piling them in their final destination requires 52 moves. You also have 21 cards face down. Just flipping them over requires 21 moves. That's 73. So, with 3 more moves you solved the solitaire with 76 moves. I don't buy it. I have always wondered how it's possible to have some low scores when, at timres, there are very few moves possible. And yet, you find scores under 100 or barely above.
I have followed this game for some time, though only lately I decided to become a registerd player. I remeber someone called 57 Feral Cats who complained about the unbelievable scores. I guess she was right.
