I had a truckload of stuff from my barn hauled to the dump last week, but I still can't get into two-digit land.

OK, what are you all doing to get into the two-digit fidgits?   I guess keeping my car in the carport is not helping me lower my moves.   Lynne, wish I could hire someone to clean up the garage, but that ain't gonna happen.

rigged2 - I keep my car in the driveway since my narrow driveway is about 90 feet long and it is too long to want ti shovel in a snow storm and has my neighbor's bushes on one side and the garbage pails side door steps and in the summer, hose reels that can be too close to the car for comfort. When I walk out of my house, my car is sitting there waiting for me to go somewhere and in the past year, that meant either a doctor appointment or a trip for groceries.

I just read your post, rigged, you’ve inspired me to hire a skip bin and get it all taken away. 

Larry & rigged, I know your pain. We have a double garage and can’t fit either car in. We had to build a carport for the cars. I haven’t a clue what’s in there, and can’t abide the thought of going through it all. It can all be our kids’ inheritance.

LarryT: i have been asking that for years. Something I have NEVER understood. Big houses with attics, closets, storage sheds full of junk, then rent storage places for even more junk, and leave your car which is usually your 2nd biggest expense sitting in the driveway or on the street.  At LEAT store your junk IN your car while you put it in the garage, Make room for BOTH. If you haven't used it in 5 years, get rid of it. You've forgotten you have it anyway. Your heirs do not want it; they have too much junk of their own and don't to have to go through all of yours.  People want newer fancier stuff than you have by then anyway.   Trapped by our "things".

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the garage?
Has anyone seen my garage?  It has not seen a car inside in nearly 18 years.
