Oh that is brutal!!! We had a few days of that earlier in the summer..and I wouldn't like a steady diet of it. Last summer it was like that here. That was plenty!!Yes, bless air conditioning!!! I have so many friends in North Carolina.. some in the Charlotte area..and a very close friend in Elizabeth City. I have never been there, but it looks like a beautiful state in photos!! Glad your son is safe!!

Hey Donna, I came back on late so you may not see this. Yes, my son in Ohio is in one of the counties that is getting all the flooding. Luckily it has not been as bad as Hancock, but he is having to deal with a lot of closed roads and giving tickets to those people who disobey the signs!! Yes, I am now in North Carolina in the 105 degree heat!!! I'm glad my air conditioner works!! LOL

You must be in one of the heatwave areas of the USA!! Either that or you are doing too many puzzles lol Stay cool fizzbut!!!

Wow talk about a full house!! So sorry to hear about your first husband.. I am glad things are better now!! It must have been a rough few years!! I am glad your son that was in the guard is back now. You and SuzyQ seem so young, but I guess you must be close to my age. I hope your son in Ohio is not hit by that horrible flooding!!

And Donna, yes, my son was in Iraq and made it back ok. He is no longer in the guard. But my other son is a deputy sheriff in Ohio following in his father's footsteps. My 1st husband, his father was killed in the line of duty when he was 3 and his sister was 1. His 11 year old from his first marriage lived with us at the time. I remarried in 1991 and my 2nd husband had custody of his 2 children plus we added one of "ours"!! So we have his, hers, ours, and somebody elses!! LOL
