No, a new ranking system will be created. One that is fair for everyone (from those who have played since day 1 to those who have just joined up). With 379 games and 1655 players to calculate, the current ranking system is putting too much pressure on the server. I need to make sure the server can handle future games and players, while also offering newbies a living chance (without making them finish 379 games to get a decent rank).

Adam, will you eventually go back to the original ranking calculations when you get a new server?

Ok, I have learnt my lesson. Over the next week I will be migrating the website to a brand new server. The good news is, we won't have any down time. The bad news is, everyone will need to be gentle. Ranking calculations have been turned off and so have the Easy Medium / Hard options.

A few changes are going to be made with the way games are ranked. The last 30 games are going to have higher weightage. Older games will have their scores / moved averaged. This will be added to your rank. Ranks will be generated once a day (midnight, when the new game is created). And when the new game is being generated the site will be unavailable (previously the site allowed you to play games while the new one was being generated, but this put too much stress on the server).
