I don't think that we're any more competitive than we've always been! I think most of us find it frustrating that we aren't playing on a level field.  For me, for example, when I see "King of Hearts" one off of low score, I know that something's wrong because he's an excellent player and always finds low score.  And then it's frustrating because we can't do anything to fix it.  And when I'm trying to find low moves, I'd like to know that my moves or lack of moves count the same as the next person.

Somehow, I think the game is becoming less fun and more competitive.You're a great group with a lot of talent. I don't even understand the terminology when I'm asked for clues. 
Really enjoyed playing with everyone. Especially you, James. We have been neck in neck a lot but to your credit, almost always in the lead.

Rheinmaden, I'm a big supporter of the old Solitaire website if you have a desktop. It WORK !!  Cards stay where you put them, it's a level playing field, low score is consistent for everyone, and we usually have a nice chat going each day. It even has two graphs -- one for moves and one for time -- showing your progress based on the games you've played. ~ As for this site, I don't know if you're aware of some of the differences here.  Mainly, you are penalized for playing face cards and 10's up or over.  So you want to find a place for all of them down below.  Maybe that's part of your problem.

Hi, Judi!  If you have access to a desktop computer, there's a "thread" there on the "Forum" called "Solitaire 101". I think it's on Page 1 of the Forum.  There's a lot of information there.  Maybe you'd find some it helpful.
