I like to play on Firefox so I can move the cards more quickly -- until I have my score down, then I poke along on Safari to see how close I am to the low score.

Thanks, James!! So, when you moved the K (instead of playing it up), it didn't count as a move.  I get that now.  Not sure that I get the rest about the numbered cards.  Anyway, where did you get this information from?

I'll rephrase that. All cards moved on the board up or laterally will count. It seems to count more if a 10 or above you go up with.

Yes, any card higher than a 9 will be counted as a move, as will playing over or going up.

What do you mean "numbered cards are 10s"???  By "counted against you", do you mean that it counts as a move?

Face cards that count against you are queens jacks. Numbered cards are 10s. Kings are not counted. This is only this version of solitaire and using Safari. That's the best explaination I can come up with. Those counted against you are if played over.
