James, the 6 does go on the 7. I'm sure this will come to you in a jiffy after taking a break from it. 

What I see is Q moves 1st to get the A up

I moved the 9 over the the Q over in order to bring the K down.

I put the 6 on the 7 but didn't have time to check if it really mattered.

No, unfortunately, I am not getting close. Played the 8 and 9 over and had 43 at the flip, but too many other variables. Din't know if 6 came down on 7 or 7, could not get red queen in time for kings and 6 ended up coming around again before I got it over.

At the end, instead of playing up the 9 and 10 so that I could play the J over, I brought the J DOWN onto the Q -- BUT I played the 8 up to play the 9 over.  I guess that, in the case of the J, the first way involves three moves but bringing the J down only involves one.  Wow!  This is really mixed up !  Hope all of this helps.
