Good Afternoon everyone.  Count me confused as to the aspects of this version of SC.  I can barely make the cards, much less figure out the score.

Susan, not sure though why it would be 20 or more moves lower with the new. I counted every move on this game #2994 and only came up 2 moves higher than what they showed and that could have been because of not counting the flip at the end of the deck??

Mark, I just checked in the Archives for games played in Jan and Feb of this year before the new site was established. The new way of counting moves is being used and because of this players are scoring 20 or more points lower than the previous low scores. Check it out!

I counted the moves shuffling through just the deck only. With this new game, it does not count the card just before the last card in the deck before the flip, but it counts a move when you flip the deck. However, with the old game, it counts every card in the deck through the last card and then when you flip, it does not count that move.....So that's different in the two versions....Not sure if either one is correct because I would think the flip itself should count as a move...maybe someone more familiar with the rules of solitaire could provide some insight.??? 

SusieP, if it's not counting the cards as they move up at the end into the Aces piles, then it probably is not keeping score correctly. Maybe that's the reason the move counts are so much lower in this new version than they were the in the old game. In the old game, I cannot remember anyone ever getting a score of less than 115...???

Good Morning. Even with my new computer I can't seem to get any speed. I guess I"ll just have to admit that I am the slow one.  A nice game, though. Thanks for the clues...

The last sentence in my previous post may be wrong. I just checked and it's not clear what's happening. 
I just bring cards DOWN and try not to move them up.

About low score on this site - I don't understand exactly how they are keeping score. However I get lower moves by playing everything DOWN that I possibly can and then leaving them down unless I need to move them up for some reason.  At the end of the game, the computer doesn't seem to move the cards up to the aces piles; thus those moves don't count as they do in the "old version."
