Goofy Game!

Thanks so much, Robin! I played it as we had for 130 and recalled that previously we had done TWO switches to play up the 8 and 9. For 129, you only need to do one at that particular point. It's rare that we move a card twice to get a lower score so I'm not good at recognizing a situation that might require that! O.K. becomes

Susan, I moved the 7 to the 8 to make room for the K. Before, we all were moving the 8 to the 9. If I remember correctly now,the 8 had to be moved again, so you could play up the 9 to get to the 5 underneath. I didn't take time to figure it out, but you are moving the 7 twice, but for some reason placing the 8 on the 9 saves a move. I hope this helps. That was the switch or the move I was referring to, that we do not have to do now. I hope that frown turns into a smile.

Thanks, Robin! I figured that's what you were getting at but I tried everything. It seemed to me that avoiding the switch involved not putting the 7 on the 8. So how are you making a space for the K? Sorry, your clue was probably meaningful enough, at least for Offfe, but I'm dull on this one!

Well, then, lets give some meaning to this clue.....If you bring the 8 down on thE 9, you avoid a switch. That is what the 8 is all about.

Upsetting the apple cart long after the game has been played -- without giving a meaningful clue -- is not smiled upon, especially by birthday people!
