That's cute dphifer about your son and dog. It's so cute how dogs and kids bond.
My dog is a german short haired pointer mix (we think possibly lab). He points on occasion at birds and always needs a job to do. He he helps me put laundry away, give him the kids shirts or something and tell him to bring it to them and off he goes, lol.

Dale, cute dog! Just had to tell you that your dog looks almost identical to my son's first dog, except she was a little taller and leaner. Leaner only until we got her, because she hadn't been taken care of. My son is 22 now and we don't have our Missy anymore. I was just shocked at how much they looked alike. Brings back memories of my son at 4 yrs old and demanding that her name be Missy!

Thanks Susan. Yea I saw that. It allowed some cards to play over that otherwise would have had to be brought down or played after the flip; which I can see that advantage. So... the Q route far out weighed the Q route. I just went against my reasoning to use that first when you think about score, because it usually adds to moves when using the card of the same color when it is already down. Hm.. you never know until you play it out. Maybe. that's what I need to do ... play out more scenarios.

Hi, Robin! My guess is that using the Q first is more helpful because it allows you to move the J which is somehow more advantageous because of the cards under it. But I wouldn't have thought of that on my own! Like you said, the Q was right there, so I tend to take the path of least resistance which isn't always best for low score. ~~ The 6 plays up.

Thanks Fizz. I guess it was a matter of your observation. I was trying to learn something from how you came up with that conclusion or methodology. Is it most times just playing through and noticing different scenarios ? trying one particular card over another ? That indeed was strange to use Q first when you had Q already down in the columns; sort of like the other day when the king of clubs was used first and after the flip.

KOH I said I muddled through it. No clear path on this one but I figured both black jacks had to be played so why not try the Q first and Dale had already mentioned it.
