Adam - have you considered the possibility of automatic testing a newly generated game, so that if no solutions exist an automatic new generation takes place? Also, this would produce the side effect of knowing, for every game, the minimum number of moves, necessary and sufficient to solve the game (it is sufficient not to stop the testing process at the first solution that is found).

I hope you're not going to give up solitaire for Lent Dee!

Today is Shrove Tuesday or better known in this area as Fastnacht Day. Many churches or organizations fry fastnachts and sell as a fundraiser. they are simply fried squre doughnuts without a hole, then covered with confectioners sugar (10x). I'm back...You won't believe this but hubby just came home from work with some and we just had one! It's tradition that you use all the old lard and sugar in the house before Lent starts and you "fast." Hoepfully tomorrow will be a better solitaire day for all of us...I'm afraid we are ALL sorely hooked on this website!

Sorry, Mary. As they say: "You can't get blood out of a turnip!" Today's puzzle is an impossible "turnip." To ease your frustration more productively, why not go back to some old games you didn't do so well at and try to improve your times and/or scores. That should definitely be less frustrating than wasting your time at THIS!!!

Again impossible one, it's simple to tell cos you can't open both 10 H and 10 D as both black Js are undee them..........

maybe when a game has been played 100 times and no one can solve it, it could be programmed to turn over a new set of cards? pretty please?
