I remember now, I realized that the 3 wasn't needed until after the flip since that's when the 4 was likely to be played and the 3 wasn't needed to stack a 2 on, so it made moving the K not a priority which led me to try something else

I had the same question, Robin ! I think we locked into the idea that the K was first and then tried all of our variations from there. That's why, when Fizz said "a black king first", it just didn't register.

Oh something to do with it was easier to bring down a black king to move the Q so that hearts could start playing up, or I was just trying different stuff to see how they worked

fizzbut If you would indulge me, how or what exactly made you decide to go this route ? I am asking so I can learn from this game. To think I was doing it all wrong and even managed to get a low score for awhile. This is another whole game. Thanks for the additional clues and you too Hamlette and the clarification Susan

So you did !!! I usually tell myself, if the cards just aren't falling right, go back and read the clues again to make sure you haven't missed something. I forgot to do that tonight.

I did say a black king first. It doesn't matter which one.

Thanks Suzan and thanks Fizz for coming back to help me. I just could NOT figure out how you were able to play up the 4. So after much deliberation and spinning of my wheels, it finally dawned on me that the K was first and not the K. TAKE NOTE if you're trying to get low score.

And yes, 8 first. 9 first so after the flip the 9 comes up sooner to move the 8 which allows diamonds and clubs to start playing up
