Hey, Donna...glad to hear your tree is doing well. Last 2 years we had quite a load of pears! I made many pies, and they are so juicy to eat right off the tree too. It does flower in the spring, then the pears are ready for picking late August into September.

I don't like any big city, Lynne, it's just that yours is one of the biggest in the world and one I have visited several times. I prefer living outside of these medium-sized Southern cities. I also keep my distance from Hotlanta when possible.

Hi Dale, glad I peeked in. It is doing very well and the extra space seems to be helping it spread it's branches. It had lovely red leaves and next year maybe it will grow by leaps and bounds. I sure hope so. I would really miss it if we had no birds to watch next year. Thanks for asking. Is yours a flowering pear, too?
