Chris, so sorry to hear about your Mom having to go to the assisted living place, but everyone is right. I work in a nursing home/rehab center and even though I'm in the business office and don't do direct patient care, I see how much the residents are loved by their CNA's and nurses and others that work there. I'm a softy and I said I wasn't going to get close to any of the residents when I first started, but you just can't help it. They will love and care for your Mom and she will make friends there too! Just hang in there

Chris - when we had to put my mom in a nursing home, we were so unhappy, but she had the best of care, people to talk to and it was the best place for her to be in her final years. She had friends, activities and she was safe and cared for. Hard to make the decision but you are doing the best thing for her although it hurts. Stay strong.
