Yes, Donna, I have so many memories of these kitties when they were outside and in their prime -- weathering the elements, wind blowing their fur, walking on top of snow, tip-toeing through puddles! Bless their hearts! So it is sad now to see them going downhill. At least they are safe and I do know what happens to each one (although some I handle better than others when it comes to deciding when to euthanize them). It's very hard. I deal with it by crying my eyes out for days or weeks, or months -- depending on how close I was to them or if the kitty had a special success story regarding the transformation of his/her personality since being inside. I'm sorry that one cat is missing and the other one is there crying. That's very heartbreaking on both counts.

I just fed his small black and white companion. I think they must have belonged to the same family that got rid of them. He always protected and made sure this smaller cat had some of his food and spent the night here. The little cat is wandering around meowing, looking for him which makes me think there was foul play. He wouldn't have willingly abandonned him. Must break your heart to see them get frail like that. Thanks for the clues!! 7s was key.

Hey, Donna, I did answer you. Sorry you missed my reply. I just said "YES!" in answer to your question and confirmed that the J was first. Anyway, glad you got it! That's what's important. ~ Several of the kitties aren't exactly sick; they're just old. So they're very thin, sleep a lot, aren't able to groom themselves -- signs that they're going downhill. But they're still eating and hanging out with the other kitties. ~ Donna, I'm so sorry your stray disappeared. Hopefully you'll see him again soon.
