Boy, I brought this frustration on myself !!

Oh, brother ! We would've pinpointed the problem had we started with "number of moves" before the flip. As soon as I saw, "play up the 5,6,7, and 8" I realized the problem. For some strange reason, I wasn't bringing down the 9. ( It DID play over later so I didn't think it was a problem.) But that left the 8 with no place to be played until after the flip. It also played over ! but really messed up my game and created havoc at the end. I had to play *past* the 5 to get to the 8. That's why, once I got to the 2, I couldn't get back to the 3 and 4 because the 5 was in the way. Thank you, William and Norm, for your kind assistance to this damsel in distress !! smile Sorry to have made you spend so much time spelling this all out for me. But I really appreciate your help !! smile

We can solve this tomorrow Susan. Good night.

I should have paid attention to Norm's clue about the 5 playing up. I knew it did, after I moved it, but I shouldn't have moved it. Sorry Norm. Thanks.

Thank you Tikki, that was how I got 132 - I was putting the 5 on the 6, when I should have left it where it was, because it played up.

If you don't have this line up, you are not playing it the same as me.

Susan, when you flip, you see the K, then the 4, then the 3, then the 4, which plays over. Leave the 3 there while you play up the 5,6,7, and 8. Now you can play up the 4, revealing the 7. Go back up to the deck where the 3 is and go past it once to the 5, which plays over. The 3 is still there. Play up the 6 and 7. Move the 7 to the 8, which reveals the 8 to play up, (revealing the 9. Play up 9. Do the switch (8 to 9) Play up 9, move 9 back to 10. Play up 2, and the 3 which is still there, plays over, revealing the 4 which plays over, and the next card should be the K, followed by the 5 to play over. The 6 and 7 play up.

If I had read Norm's clue about 5 I wouldn't have wasted so much time.

Was stuck on 133 but finally found what I was doing wrong - moving the 5 over instead of waiting to move it up.

Well, after all of that, I don't think you've addressed the problem ! I've been playing the 2 up but, by that time, playing backwards through the deck, I have the 5 with the 3 and 4 BEHIND it. Earlier, Mom had said she brought the 6 down to play the 5 on. William said he didn't bring it down at all. If, as you say, the 5 play over, then maybe the question should have been -- what do you do with the 3 and 4 ? BBL
