I got it Susan...I was doing the danged dumbest thing. I was putting the 8s on the 9s instead of the 9s.. I hope someone learns something from this. lol Thanks for helping though Susan..kind of you Thanks to Pa and fizz , Mom and all the other cluegivers too.

I thought what Pa meant was that the 8 playing up was the LAT move, meaning, don't do it too soon. I took the emphasis to be on the word last, not playing up. But it did get me from being stuck on 122 for ever to 121, so I didn't over think it at the time.

Well, you DO bring down the 6 and 6 which you are probably already doing. When I bring down the K, I am at 54 moves, if that helps any.

Sometimes I can get K to play over and other times I can't..but either way I get 124. What do I not bring down? I must be bringing too much down.

I agree, Donna (about the 8)! Are you playing the last King over? And, Fizz, whether it was intentional or not on PaBaldy's part, that IS actually what made me think about playing the Q up! Never knowing how cryptic some of the clues are, we have to consider ALL angles!!

The only clue I got from all of that is that Qs plays straight up. I am doing that and all the other things I said early and that fizz and Susan just said..so what am I missing??? 3 moves off. I don't see where a lot of people were helped by the 8 clue fizz.
