Welcome #1Grndma. Scrott I will try to explain the method for giving clues. When a player leaves a clue such as Q 1st what they are suggesting is that the game will play better or in this case at all. if you bypass the Q when you see it and wait for the Q to come into play. Using the Q will open up play making it easier or better to finish. The clues are usually given in colors, by that I mean that when it is a red clue it does not pertain to the black cards of the same denomination. The one exception at times is I notice that some if not all will give the K's exclusive of color, meaning that if some player suggests K 1st they are usually being explicit that this is the 1st of the 4 K's to be played. Keep in mind that clues given early in the game often change as players find easier or better paths to a low move game. So even though you have finished don't be afraid to experiment and if you find a lower move path please give clues as wqe are all trying to become better players. Sorry for the long winded answer.

Scrott, allow me to answer for Dianne, who is probably asleep by now (in the middle east). The first queen to show up is the Q. Instead of using the Q, wait until the Q shows up and use it. That may seem strange to not use a red queen when available, but believe me, it makes a big difference in how the cards play out.

Hey everyone! Haven't played much lately and won't this weekend. We're in Ohio for our granddaughter's baptism. Was a nice ceremony and dinner today and we are getting to spoil her and her brother a bit tonight! Always a pleasure being a grandma! I even changed a diaper today!!
I'll try to catch up with you all next week! I sure do miss my NC sunny skies too! Love seeing the kids, but this dreary Ohio weather is for the birds!! lol
