Larry it's to my understanding that all games are factored in but the majority of the score is made up of the last 30. The scoring is based on your best time and moves vs the average best timeas and moves of everyone else who plays each day so there's no penalty for playing as many times as you want. So when someone else improves their time on a game it lowers the average which may lower your score while improving theirs. Or if someone plays an old game for the first time getting a slower time then the average it would raise the average thereby raising your score. Of course improving your time and moves on a game will always raise your score but if someone else is improving theirs at the same time you just may not see it. Also, I don't think the current game gets factored in until the beginning of the next game. But then the game from 30 days ago gets dropped at the same time so there's a lot going on. Note too, it uses your fastest time no matter what your moves are and your lowest moves no matter what your time is. So often to improve your time it may not be advantageous to use the lowest moves way.

OK, if the score is based on average time and moves, I can see where the score will fluctuate. Guess the way to beat the system is to play the game without signing on until you can get a good time/move, then sign on and do if officially.

Fizz, if what you said is true, it seems like your score can only improve. My score is dropping. Is that because the system only looks at a certain number of past games instead of all past games?

Games are rated equally. Based on average times and moves. So when someone goes back and plays and old game and betters their time or plays it for the first time it may change the average which changes your score.

Tammie, sometimes I wonder how the ratings are figured. They must be weighted with hard receiving more points than easy. But, we will never know. Guess we should just relax and enjoy the games.
