I just went back to see the rest of the comments from yesterday that I had not read, and I want to thank all of you again for your prayers and support. WhatLuck, you are especially inspiring as you deal with your own bittersweet sorrow and joy. Yes, you are blessed to have your own special angel in Annette! I'm sure you have shared that with her family, esp. her children. I think your solitaire name should be changed to WhatABlessing instead of WhatLuck! I have always managed to find blessings amid all of the problems and sorrows of life, too. In Debbie's case, we were all blessed that she was able to make it through my new daughter-in-law's bridal shower, being matron of honor at my other son's wedding, attending her oldest's high school graduation and her youngest's first birthday before she got sick -- along with surviving the pneumonia! I'm sure there will be many more blessings we will find along this journey of life.

Debbie is still in the ICU. I will go to see her in a little while. She's missing another birthday: the 18th birthday of her oldest today. That's OK. We can have a big celebration of LIFE when she gets well!
