Di , Yes i had fun I work for a good Trainer, we just came off of a Maiden Win at Turfway with this one and we were over our head to qualify for an upcoming race, we needed 2 races, within a certain time frame,.
This next start for Humor's Punch should tell us better where he is at in his training, he was having heel problems, that we had to take care of , If you're a horse person as many of Your fine Countrymen are you can understand where I'm coming from.
I just joined this Trainer 6 weeks ago and I have really enjoyed working for him,the heel problems were already present when I arrived on the sceen. However we should get a better showing of what we can do with a horse named General Quarters, this upcoming Saturday at Keeneland. We go in the Fayette Stakes.

The buggy thing is known as a sulky. Okay it's an awsome sport to have fun at, if they invite you to go, do so just to check it out . You might enjoy yourself,I hope that you don't get bored, there is usually about a 20 min break between races/heats.For handicappers to figure out thier next move, while the people directly involved with the race prepare themselves , thier equipment and of course thier horses.
If nothing else at least you gave it a try and they can say that too! However I do hope that you find it more fun than playing Bingo!

We call them the same thing here Trotters& Pacers. They are really neat to see in action. The people in that industry are really neat too!
My Best Wishes to your Nephew!
There was a harness horsethat was brought here to the Us 17 years ago from NZ /Aus, known as Next Bonus (A/meaning Australia on our circuit here. ) Maybe he heard of him. He was a good one and raced at Maywood/Balmoral Il.

My nephew is a trainer/rider in Australia. He races trotters. Don't know what you call them in the US. It's when you don't ride the horse, you sit in a little buggy thing behind the horse. As you can see, I don't know much about horse racing, but it is a family passion on my mother's side of the family.
