Found a Bug in Game #77

by Neil Acquatella » 2006-08-28 17:36:31 #4820

Not sure if it is Game #77 exclusive but I finish this game for the second time in 2:37 minutes with 144 moves as you can see in the screenshot, but in the archive for my Personal Stats for Game #77 it says Time = 2:37 minutes (correct) and Moves = 148 (wrong).

I'm including an screenshot for your reference

Fraug also emailed this issue to me earlier today. This isn't really a bug. I have added a new feature that works out your time independently from your moves, as moves now get awards etc. Although, as fraug pointed out, the Achieved column will display the initial day that you got the top score, if you come back and play again later it will not update.

Thanks for uploading a screenshot, it made it very easy to see what issue you were referring to.

Seeing as though I had a few people comment about this, I would like to get peoples opinions. Should the 'personal best' listing be the way it was or the way it is?

Having the moves listed next times that don't match seems kind of off to me .. (obviously since I wrote in about it) Since you've now seperated the moves from the times, I think you should seperate them a bit more. Maybe split the 5 around you box up into two, one for times, one for moves. Also I think the green box listing your rank/time/moves on that screen should say something other than just "best time" since the moves in the box does not match up to the time. Maybe even do a new personal best screen when you get a new low move count rather then just when you get a new low time.

Just my 2 cents =)

Well I finally understood! You want the Best Records for ## Game both in Time and in Moves!

OK I see your point now.

If both records can be changed later by making better moves or better times I think it is good this way.

Thanks
