How many hours are you on the computer?

by Adam Lyttle » 2006-08-21 08:57:46 #4775

To kick start the general discussion forum, I thought I would ask a straightforward question.

How many hours do you spend on the computer each day?

Personally I spend around 8 or more a day. I work on the computer most of the day and I also check up on the news and work on my personal projects.

How many hours I spend on the computer

I spend about 3 hours a day on the days that I work and about 4 or 5 hours a day on my days off. I don't care much for tv. I have a mac, and I love it. I can deal with the few inconveniences here and there, but I have never had a virus. I used to be an accountant and we had all kinds of computer issues with the pc's, but the artists never had much trouble with theirs. I worked at a video game company, Midway Games.

Minimum 8 hours per day..... or more. Cept on the weekends, then it hits about 2+ hours....

Way too many! I don't have the excuse of using one at work anymore either!

I'm usually on my computer 6-8 hours a day, sometimes more when a school project deadline is looming...

Far too many- I'm home all day and the computer is just on all the time.

When I think about how much time I spend on the computer it's kinda scary. It's on all the time at home so I'm there when I first get up in the morning. Then most of my day at work I am using a computer in one way or another. I come home for lunch and sit at the computer while I eat and then again at least two or three hours in the evening, or more if I am home all evening.

If the boss only knew why the work isn't getting done! However, for me, being retired, I find that I am always busy...I am usually on the computer 3 hours a day. Three things grab my attention: Solitaire and Sudoku Craving, and my son's blog: bike-riding-donut-guy.blogspot.com I also put up other favorites daily. Dee

I really don't spend that much time on the computer at all. All my classes run on 'til early in the morning, and I don't have much time for computer games and the internet. (although I really wish I did!)

Yes I spend too many hours some days and not enough other days. I would probably spend more time with a therapist if it wasn't for solitaire! The challenge and the people have to be good for you!

I have the laptop on most weekday evenings for about 2 or 3 hours (or maybe more) whilst half watching some TV programmes. I tend to have it on less at the weekend unless I am planning a holiday or watching live PGA feeds as I can't get most US men's golf on Sky.

I probably spend an hour on the computer at work---doing ONLY work related things....no exceptions. Then, at home, I'll spend at least an hour on weekdays and probably 3 or so hours on the weekends. Great question, Adam!

Monday-Friday whilst at work, the computer is on from 8am until I dash out the door after work is finsihed for the day. I have a couple of wonderful computer games that I play on my computer at home but they have a tendancy to take over my life on a weekend!
I can play one of these games for hours and hours on end and only realise how much time has elapsed when I start to get a stomach ache and realise I have missed lunch and dinner and desperately need to go to the loo!
