A question to the SUPER FAST
How many times on average do you have to replay a game until you hit those extremely fast play times? You know where you rank in the top 5 or so. At first I didn
More times then we would like to admit, but "a lot of replays" is for most I assume fairly accurate.
At least 20 and I am seldom in top 5 for long. LOL I may end up in top 10 with 20 - 30 plays. Welcome aboard! Sometime 40 games. Don't tell anyone.
Like CtownChris, MrWabbit. Several times, plus lots of not so fast times. First few times, average, then get to know the cards, then speed it up. mostly about memorising the movement of the cards thats all. Easier than it looks. But then you get Pearl100 and BOC. thats another story!!
My problem is that I have trained myself to act instantly to any move that comes up. That is all I
Higher counts does not mean faster times.

@Ann-Maree how nice of you to grace us with a visit. You know you can play for fun (if with kids you have time). As Adam says, We won't bite.
Still trying to find out
So I have a question, are some of you playing "not logged in" writing down the steps while solving it, then speeding it through? Not to sound too cynical, but some of the times are unbelievable, I don't even think I could achieve them if I had the answer in front of me.
Catchr, I used to play for speed a lot. However in my case I did not write down the moves. For me I had to replay the same game many times, like 20 or 30 times to really get it down memory wise. At first it used to take me 50 or 60 times but as you do it you get better. My best game was 38 seconds and my replays got down to around 15. It depends on how the card are dealt. Some games are a natural to play for speed, others are not. And yes, at first I did not believe these time either! The real prize is to play a low move game the fastest to achieve double stars. I have only done it a couple of times. Work at it, you will be surprised at what you can do. I would have never believed I would have played a 38 second game when I first came here, but I did. As far as writing down moves goes, I suppose do whatever works for ya. That does not work for me. Replay over and over to the point you move the cards without thinking or hesitation will get you those low times. Good Luck.
I used to go for speed back in the day . I would usually play the game about 20 times just for finding lowest moves, and in that process I usually memorize the moves about 60%. I then just play it for speed and just keep playing it till the moves are second nature, which is about another 20 games. I usually would be in the high 40s to low 50s. Playing for low moves is much more fun for me though now.
Thanks for the clear and honest answer MrWabbit. I wasn't even certain if replays were considered "kosher", but it appears they are the rule rather than the exception. When I do actually complete a game, I have zero desire to replay it. It be nice to have a separate stat where its recorded only "ONCE" for time (but there is an undo button).
@Catchr more people try for lowest moves by playing it over again which always presents a significant challenge mentally and turns a one and done game into what sometimes seems like a never ending game. If this were a one and done game to wouldn't be the social interchange as well. As side from that I've also thought it would be interesting if there was a first time through stat but I think the reason Adam never did that is because it would be susceptible to being abused with cheating too easily.
I get it now thanks for explaining the mindset. I wasn't trying to be accusatory, I guess the mind is capable of some pretty fast calculations after awhile. Yeah I really can't think of a way to cheat-proof a "first time through" system.
Hi there! I cannot believe how fast some, many of you are!! I am proud of myself for braking the 200 mark. I am slowly getting fast--but so slow compared to many of you. You are amazing and so nice to share your plays. I am still slow!!
