The pirate ship was VERY old, however, and when a violent storm came up on them in the middle of the pond, they were certain that it would quickly break apart the ship and they would be thrown into the water and meet certain death by drowning.

While searching the ship for a row boat, Joanne happened upon several empty wooden crates labeled "hserf tsot danl".

"Ah! I can read!" she cried, "All I need now is a lebvel 49 kjsdbhfis!"

by SuzyQ » 2006-09-14 17:29:06 #5946

"Huh?" the bearded man said, looking puzzled.

Let's get this crate open and have some tossed salad!, Joanne said as the ship was "tossing and turning", I'm hungry!

by Saam » 2006-09-14 13:57:06 #5948

Abandoning the search for a row boat in favour of food, she descended to the lower levels of the ship in search of a crowbar to open the crate.

As she flung open a door on the 49th lower lebvel of the ship she learned that the ship had actually been a gateway to an underwater domed city.

She was beginning to get claustrophobic but her stomach started to growl, reminding her of her mission.

by Dee » 2006-09-15 07:58:18 #5951

She returned to the upper deck and using the crowbar she found, and opened the crate marked "TOST DALAS" and as she lifted the lid she was overcome with the sweet aroma of...

ranch dressing and dirty socks, well the dirty socks weren't so sweet but there they were with a little note.

by Wingy » 2006-09-15 10:48:27 #5953

"Huh?" the bearded man said, looking puzzled.

by Saam » 2006-09-15 13:41:06 #5954

"You're not much of a conversationalist, are you," she remarked as she reached with both hands into the fragrant crate.

by Renee » 2006-09-15 16:52:57 #5955

"I'll flip ya fer the socks!!" said the bearded man

by Dee » 2006-09-15 16:44:09 #5956

and as he was reaching for the socks, the ship lurched and he disappeared into the rolling water!

by Saam » 2006-09-16 15:00:05 #5957

She watched with detatchment as he went over the side, then grabbed the contents of the crate & returned to lebvel 49 & the underwater city.

by Wingy » 2006-09-16 16:58:32 #5958

A truly strange city it was, as the streets were orange, the sidewalks green, and the buildings were all made of playing cards.

by Renee » 2006-09-16 13:58:36 #5959

She could hear giggles, she thought it was coming from the buildings, but, could it be it was coming from the cards themselves!?!

by Dee » 2006-09-16 16:16:31 #5960

As she walked slowly down the green sidewalk, she soon discovered that the "Joker" was the door on every building and every one of them was laughing as she passed by.

by Linde00 » 2006-09-17 08:04:47 #5961

After a few minutes she could no longer curb her curiousity so she approached one of the Jokers and asked " Why are you laughing?"

by Wingy » 2006-09-17 08:56:07 #5962

A hush fell over the city as she asked her question, then in a quiet whisper the Joker said, "You've got some tossed salad hanging on your chin".
