Hi rip and welcome. From looking at your profile it seems you may be more qualified to tell us what it's really all about. It's a new feature on the site and I think what it's become for many of us a way to say "Hi and glad you're playing with us." I think Adam has plans to do something more with the idea in the future which will be interesting to see. If you're asking how to become someone's fan, just click on their name and under their profile you can select "become a fan".
