Solitaire Craving running slow?

by Adam Lyttle » 2006-08-29 16:31:26 #4824

Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing slow downs when loading pages or images?

I fear Solitaire Craving is heading down the same track as Sudoku Craving.

I'm starting to suspect that fowl play may be involved.

A little slow for me but nothing bad yet... And why would anyone do anything to your sites? That's awful!

I've got no idea. It could be unrelated, it could just be my internet connection.

Maybe I need some sleep, hehe.

It's the middle of the night there right now isn't it? Go to sleep! smile

I think it was my internet connection smile

No biggie.

Adam, are you the only one who can start forum threads? Perhaps I'm missing something...
In any case, I wanted to ask about the game generation algorithm. Are you just generating random permutations? Some time ago, I seem to recall that you wrote something about trying to make generation of impossible games less likely.

Igy, you can start a new thread by clicking the "New Post" link when you select a topic.

Yes, the games are random at the moment. However, the random number generater was changed that day. The default random number generator is based on the computer time, I found that it created a couple of impossible games around about the same time. After changing this the impossible games came up less frequently.
