What kind of a name is Dragonchilde anyways?

Hi everyone,

I'm an animation student from Canada. I love to draw and paint, and have an online gallery of some of my works at http://dragonchilde.deviantart.com/gallery/

I love puzzles of all kinds, and I've always loved solitaire. Me and my brother sometimes have some solitaire competitions using good old Windows Solitaire. I really love trying to solve all the games, even if some do turn out to be impossible. I'm not as fast as the fastest players, and not as economic as the smartest players, but I'm still pretty good at it. (I'll get some stars eventually!) smile

I've been enjoying Solitaire Craving a lot since I found it, so thank you Adam for creating the site, and thanks to the player community who makes a game played alone a fun time for all. smile

Your gallery is very impressive. Some of those images look amazongly life like (Boredom and Matt, for example). I really like the cel shading technique you used in DC ID Version 2.

When you finish studying what sort animation field are you interested in (static animation, animated, etc)? Additionally, have you had any experience with website designs?

After I graduate I'm hoping for employment in either the gaming industry or animating old-fashioned hand-drawn cartoons.

I have a little bit of experience with website design, and I do ok as long as I'm not the one doing the heavy coding. smile

I would be interested to throw some extra work your way some time if you were interested. Mainly graphics for websites, perhaps some default avatars and game graphics. Let me know if you are interested.

Hmm, my hands are full right now, but it would definitely be interesting. I'll let you know when my schedule frees up a little bit. smile

Wow! They're so cool! Wish I could draw...my mum's an artist & sister inherited it, but is more into the drama side of things. Me? Can't draw anything that doesn't resemble a stick figure! But put an instrument in my hands & it's a whole different story...

Hey! Your little red horny thing moves! Kawaii!

Sorry, I'll rephrase that...the red unicorn-like animal on your website smile

I really enjoyed the Matt one and Boredom. I also liked fuzzy blue sweater. You're very talented.

that some awesome stuff Dragonchilde... some great diversity.. do you have an online demo reel of your animation? i've worked as an animator in games (sims2) and while 'crunch time' can be exhausting.. it's very rewarding imo...

Hi Dragonchilde...
I very much enjoyed your art (great talent and imagination) and have you in my "favorites", so I can return to it again. You, my dear girl are lovely and do not need the makeup. So nice to have a face with a name. Dee

Wistan: I don't have any examples of my animation that I'm 'brave' enough to post online yet. I'm hoping my projects this year will turn out nice enough that I can show them off. My beginner animations are quite terrible, but by the end of the year I should have enough animation material to put together a demo reel smile

Dee: thank you for the lovely compliments!
