Thank you @harleyman for starting a new thread. We had once a book or what do you read forum and it was popular for a time. I like the suggestions by @57 Feral Cats. It can be whatever we like. We can share here our experiences with music, what we like, what excites us or what soothes us. The opportunities to contribute are limitless. Maybe it is time to move on from the jokes we liked to music of which we so far shared little.

I do not see how anyone could like the new country.I think it is a shame they are allowed to even call it COUNTRY.But who cares what this old 73 year old woman thinks?I have all the good old COUNTRY music in cds and my computer.I think Tammy was the best female country singer.lol

I danced on TV one time, and the floor was so slick we had to get our shoes taped, and Little Jimmy Dickens taped my shoes for me.I was fifteen years old at the time, and I was on with my Uncle and Aunt, on their squaredance team.I wish could live that night over.It was awesome.

Ha Ha Robin ! tongue

Robin is partially right about me being only PARTIALLY musically inclined.. My earliest experience with music, as I was living as a child in an isolated village, was to gather somewhere, after the daily chores were done, and sing (a capella). Usually a few would sing the tune and a few would add either upper or lower harmony. At that time music was only what one made. I could keep the tune but was never able to add either harmony.

At least you could carry a tune @zaphod, I never could and I thought I was singing in the choir too...

Well James... at least you were making a noble effort while mAKing a joyful noise.

James, I do have my not so good moments in life, but I try to enjoy life and have fun doing it. smile

by King of Hearts » 2014-02-03 10:13:28 #9415

I suppose if you couldn't carry a tune, it would be a song sung blue ?

by harleyman » 2014-02-03 10:34:39 #9416

And everybody got one...

by zaphod » 2014-02-03 11:28:56 #9417

James, even if you have no musical ears you must recognize at least two tunes. One is the American anthem and the other tune is not the anthem

by harleyman » 2014-02-03 14:11:42 #9418

The other is Yankee Doodle Dandy...smile
